SEVEN DAY FAST

We will begin our All Church Fast on
September 16th through September 22nd

Why do we fast?

The purpose of fasting is to deepen one's connection with God. In the biblical context, fasting involves removing distractions for spiritual reasons; it acts as a reset for our souls, rejuvenating us internally. Fasting allows us to appreciate God's kindness and compassion, preparing our hearts to receive His blessings. Remember, your fasting journey should be challenging, but it is crucial to understand your body, explore different approaches, and, above all, seek guidance through prayer and follow the Holy Spirit's direction.

Complete Fast

In this fasting method, you consume only liquids, usually opting for water with the possibility of adding light juices.

Partial Fast

This particular fast is known as the “Jewish Fast,” which requires refraining from consuming any food during the morning and afternoon. This may be observed at designated times of the day, like 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or from sunrise to sunset.

Selective Fast

This type of fast involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Soul Fast (Abstinence)

This type of fast is an excellent choice for individuals with health concerns that restrict fasting, or those aiming to realign certain aspects of their lives. For instance, you could opt to abstain from using social media or watching television during the fast period and gradually reintroduce these activities in moderation once the fast is completed.
